Dr. Tania Novoselska is a collection manager of Heteroptera at the Steinhardt Museum. She received her PhD from the National University of Life and Environmental Science of Ukraine, Kyiv, Ukraine, in 2001. She is a member of the Entomological Society of Israel and the Ukrainian Entomological Society. Her research interests focus on hemipteran morphology, comparative anatomy, taxonomy, systematics, life history, biogeography and biodiversity. She published several papers on the systematics and life history of the Colorado potato beetle Leptinotarsa decemlineata (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) from Ukraine, and numerous papers on Heteroptera (Tingidae, Nabidae, Scutelleridae, Thaumastocoridae and Belostomatidae) from the Middle East, including Israel and the Sinai Peninsula. She works closely with the Israel Ministry of Agriculture, Plant Protection and Inspection Services, Israel Ministry of Health, Israel Nature and Parks Authority, Jewish National Fund (JNF-KKL), Israel National Center for Aquatic Ecology, pest control companies, veterinarians and general public, to whom she provides identification services.
