Dr. Gideon Pisanty is the curator of bees and parasitic wasps at the Steinhardt Museum. He received his PhD from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2014, studying crop pollination. Prior to his current position, he was a post-doctoral fellow at the Canadian National Collection in Ottawa, Canada, where he studied bee phylogenetics. His current work focuses on the systematics of braconid wasps, especially Microgastrinae.
