Oz Rittner is a collection manager of the mollusks and butterflies (Lepidoptera: Rhopalocera) collections at the Steinhardt Museum, and the museum’s collections photographer. Oz also studies several families of beetles and moths (taxonomy, natural history and invasive species), and has a great interest in fossils, archeology and prehistory. He is the developer and owner of several websites including the Israel nature site, which serves as a field guide to insects, mollusks and other animals in Israel. Oz is the Israeli representative of the National moth week and runs the Israel Insects project on iNature along with some other activities in the field of citizen’s science.
