Polychaetes are of the most abundant and diverse taxa in the marine benthos, and thus used as indicators in ecological studies and as a representative of the whole benthic community. During this course, a combination of lectures and microscope sessions will provide trainees with a general theoretical framework as well as practical experience. Participants will be guided by expert taxonomists into the examination and identification of polychaetes collected from different Israeli marine habitats to the lowest taxonomical level possible
