Curator Emeritus of Terrestrial Vertebrates at the Steinhardt Museum

Prof. Emeritus Yoram Yom-Tov is a curator Emeritus of Terrestrial Vertebrates at the Steinhardt Museum. He received his PhD from Tel Aviv University in 1970. Prof. Yom-Tov’s main research interests encompass zoogeography, behavioral ecology, bird migration, and factors that affect the body size of animals. During his academic career he travelled extensively worldwide, studying animals in all continents but Antarctica. He loves hiking and traveling, especially in high mountains and deserts. He is the author of over 200 peer-reviewed articles and wrote and edited a good dozen of books.
