An original new exhibition

  • A new temporary exhibition

In recent years the climate crisis has evolved from a scientific term to a tangible reality.

Our planet is in existential danger due to climate change. This is an emergency. The great challenge facing humanity today is the environmental challenge, and the most severe and irreversible environmental challenge is unprecedented species and ecosystem loss. Since we rely on ecosystems for our existence, this is a challenge that the world must address.

This exhibition illustrates the complex reality and processes that cause it, alongside predictions for the future, in a hands-on way that arouses the visitors’ curiosity, and raises questions and opportunities for changing personal habits. The latest scientific findings in the field and the effect of the crisis on us and on nature, in Israel, and around the world, are displayed in the exhibition using interactive media, videos, and an online personal carbon footprint calculator, which was developed especially for the exhibition and adapted for Israel.

The exhibition explains that the climate crisis is here, everywhere, but it’s still not too late to fix the situation, and the change must begin with each and every one of us.

The exhibition is on display in the multipurpose gallery on Level 3 and throughout the museum.
