The Steinhardt Museum collections comprise over 5.5 million specimens, of which over half a million are digitized, primarily the vertebrates and some of the invertebrates.

Many of the digitized specimens are found in the Online Collection Database, but some are not, for a variety of reasons. If the specimens you are interested in do not appear in the online database, you are welcome to contact us for further information.
